The wicking-pot garden workshop attracted a range of people – locals, a Sydney restaurateur, the local school,  and others concerned about water wise low maintenance gardening. Everyone got to make their own systems to walk away with at the end of the day ready to paint and decorate before planting up. We are really looking forward to seeing their gardens once complete and will share the results in upcoming newsletters.

The workshop was really fun and interesting, with lots of special gardening tips. Richard and Penny were very patient and their instructions will ensure my next wicking pots will be made with ease.  Thank you for moving the workshop inside on such a hot day – very thoughtful.  The catering was just wonderful, with lots of ingredients fresh from the Bandusia garden. I would highly recommend this workshop for anyone with a small area or if you want your vegies closer to the kitchen with no dripping pots nor mess.

Thank you Penny and Richard for a great day.

I recently attended the Permaculture Institute Sydney Wicking Pot Workshop, and had a thoroughly enjoyable day. Our host Penny has such a lovely nature and ensured that everyone is welcomed and feels completely at home. Her husband Geoffrey was busy in the kitchen preparing warm morning teas, and an incredible lunch of meats and salads. Whilst Richard the facilitator was present in the workshop, assisting all the attendees. Richard and Penny work perfectly as a presenting team, they paced the content well, and Richard has a lot of experience in the construction of the potting systems. We were able to take our creations home and immediately plant them – mine are growing well on our back porch.

I can strongly recommend a course at the lovely Bandusia, what a location. It is simply stunning.
