Meet Matilda, she’s as versatile and tough as they come and she’s all set for her very own Matilda Tours…

Permaculture Farm tours are on the go! and people will see and learn about things they’ve never seen or heard about before. They’ll see permaculture principles and techniques in action in an efficient way. Being a personalized tour you will be able to ask as many questions you like from purchasing a property; making an income for your property, design and management; animal systems, fencing and so on. Our See and Learn Tours will be a smash hit so book in soon if you want the experience. There are two different tours both including information and explanation of the farm design and its elements, principles and techniques.

TOUR ONE – (90 minutes) takes you around Bandusia Retreat. It features zone one kitchen garden systems and plants; aquaponics systems; composting and soil systems; the glasshouse and propagation systems, and small animal systems such as quail, guinea pigs, turkeys, chicken, ducks and bees.

TOUR TWO – (Two hour tour) includes all of the above plus a tour of zone one, three, four and five – the Pecan Nut farm and the PSI farm across the river. Here you will see larger animals such as cows and alpacas; and larger scale earthworks such as a dam and swales controlling the on-site water management.

Not only do these tours explain and introduce you to permaculture (much of which you can’t see unless guided), your tour fee contribution supports an ethical service and the development and activities of Permaculture Sydney Institute.
