Want to win a free workshop of your choosing or a hamper of organic produce?
Hundreds of holes were drilled into water pipes to create productive vertical gardens at our Vertical Garden Workshop last month. Participants walked away with their own gardens ready to install at home and start growing food. Some of the ways in which people will be using them include as fencing, window boxes and on walls, and some of the decorating ideas sounded awesome. We love our water saving vertical pipe gardens so much we have decided to run a competition to encourage and inspire others to take them up – make, decorate and grow their own.
Email pictures of your pipe garden briefly describing your vertical garden, the design of your pipe and how or where you use it (before Oct 31st ) and send it to PSI Vertical Pipe-Garden Competition – info@permaculturesydneyinstitute.org.
Our judges will choose the most creative, original, inspirational and best use of vertical garden. First prizewinner will receive a free one-day workshop of their choosing (valued $250). Second prize will receive a PSI hamper of our organic pecan nuts and a selection of our homemade organic preserves. We will post your pictures on our website to share ideas, inspire others and hopefully encourage others to get theirs growing too.
