It was another magic mushroom workshop last weekend with Will Borowski. Over two fabulous days people were transfixed with his knowledge and way he shared his information. Participants left really inspired and took away heaps of resources – a complete mushroom farm kit (inoculated logs – agar spawn of gourmet species – inoculated bags – notes and more) to get them started and growing well into the future. We also had loads of fun eating pizzas around the pool, listening to live music over dinner, and in the glorious sunshine at beautiful Bandusia.
While the Mushroom workshop was on we also got some logs inoculated with shitake dowels, which will contribute to our gourmet mushroom supply of saffron milkcaps and slippery jacks during next year.
What people are saying:
“The course was EXCEPTIONALLY interesting. The balance of theory and practical was perfect for me. Stunning value to get so much content and ‘take-away’ like logs, agar plates, cultures, ‘after-sales service’ and more, from the leading mushroom cultivation educator in the field; Will Borowski. Mycoculture is going to be a big part of my future as a Gastronomer, and as a PermaCulture designer. I will be establishing a Mushroomerie at the University of Technology, Sydney, in the rooftop garden for The Dirt Club. Thanks Penny for making the absolute best teacher of a subject available to us…again. Will Borowski rocks…as does his partner Ginger. So thrilled I did this course!!! Can’t wait for Will’s Advanced Mushroom Cultivation! This was probably the best PermaCulture/gardening etc course I’ve ever attended. I constantly amazed as the story of mycology and myco-culture unfolded. So many highlights…mushroom cloning, agar plate pours in an ersatz ‘still box’, poring over the posters & books, having the myths exploded, wrangling and drilling the logs, wielding a scalpel on the mushies to propagate, and the wonderful dinner and singing on the last night. BRAVO and thanks to Will, Ginger, my lovely classmates, and to you Penny – you totally embody the spirit of PermaCulture. TOTALLY.”
