Give him a name and win a free workshop!
Our handsome new turkey we have just acquired is in desperate need of a name. He has no name because he was going to be xmas dinner over the last 6 years and the farmer who owned him couldn’t bring himself to do the chop. The farmer has now given up and gifted him to the Permaculture Sydney Institute for a good life. He’ll have a great life here alright, foraging in the food forest with the chooks, ducks and guinea fowl and following us around the farm as he is very people friendly. Mr turkey has also been on his own in a pen for the last six years so we figured he deserved a girl. Does anyone out there have one or two around the same age? We plan to breed them and in return the offspring might provide us with our xmas dinners well into the future.
Send us your proposed name to info@permaculturesydneyinstitute.org – “Name the Turkey Competition”. A panel of three here at PSI will pick the favorite and the winner will receive a free one-day workshop of their choosing. We’ll announce the winner in next months Newsletter.
