Things progress well with small and slow solutions on the farm. The green manure (within a week) burst through the soil and is looking lush and green. When it starts to bud we will slash it so the new gardeners will be able to use it in their beds. Volunteers Brian and Kurt built wonderful 3 bin compost bays for some of the allotments now ready for the gardeners. The cows are dropping lots of lovely pats and we are getting ready to select the lucky allotment applicants. We have had some amazing applicants. Soon the paddock will be flourishing with life, energy and food. If you haven’t put in an application yet its not too late but get it in before End March if possible. Next we put in the water systems, a southern cross windmill and some irrigation and soon we start to build the shelters – love shacks.
Stay tuned.
