“Open days are about bringing the community together and sharing positive ideas and actions with everyone. It gives me great pleasure to do this and I look forward to the Open Day in 2013”. Penny Pyett, Director

PSI’s inaugural Farm Field Open Day brought like-minded farmers and city folk from near and far together to share, learn and have fun. Neighbours met neighbours, some for the first time, and the day had a great vibe of comradeship and positive action.

The Lucas mill was a highlight of the day with people learning about its virtues and seeing trees being transformed into stunning timber shelves and decking. Walk and talk tours led people around Bandusia with discussions on organic veggie gardening; dry stone-wall making; food forests; earthworks and more. The beekeeping talk by Anthony was also extremely popular along with the seed saving. In all around  80 people attended and all had a day of fun and learning.
