Regional and local groups around Sydney will be welcoming new members to their meetings in the near future after being promoted the Better Homes & Gardens Show over the weekend. The Permaculture Sydney Institute stall was swamped with people over three days answering questions about permaculture and how to get involved and learn more. People were directed to join the nearest group as well as start with an Introduction to Permaculture Course. Permaculture techniques and solutions; growing food; local groups; business and the movement were all the hot topics of discussion and with no other sustainability type groups being there it was even more important we were.

Reaching out to the public is essentially to build the movement and the permaculture industry. The show was really successful in that it connected with people who are hungry and for sustainable solutions and ready to take action. It was loads of fun and I am proud PSI had a presence there and was able to provide this valuable service. Here are some pics of the display.
